(Kalaw – Pindaya)

3Days / 2Nights Trekking

Day 1: Kalaw - Phaung Taw (Danu village)
After breakfast, leave hotel with trekking guide and porters for whole day trekking to the South-East of Shan mountain ranges, passing through some Pa O, Palaung and Da Nu villages. It is nearly 1hr-1hr 30mn from one village to another. From Kalaw 1hr walk to Myinn Kut (Pa O & Danu) village, 1 - ½ hr to Zedi Kone (Pa O & Danu), Naung Ye (Pa O) village, Phaung Taw (Danu). Overnight at Phaung Taw.

Day 2: Phaung Taw - Yasakyi (Palaung village)
Early morning trekking 45 m from Paung Taw to Myinemue (Danu) village, Kyaung Soe Kone (Danu) village, Tat Poke (Danu) village, Min Taing Pin (Danu), lunch at Myin Twin (Danu) village. And then 1-½ hr to Taung Myint Gyi (Palaung) village and 1-½ hr to Yasakyi (Palaung) village. Palaung is animist tribe considered to be one of the earliest people to set up in Myanmar, Up to now, they have stick to their traditional way of life. The most significant element being their long house where several families stayed together, earning a living from the cultivation of seasonal crops and Say Ywat Kyi leaves used by the Burmese home made cigar to wrap the cheroot. Overnight at Yasakyi.

Day 3: Yasakyi - Taung Paw Gyi - Pindaya
After breakfast, early morning trekking to Mount Yasakyi about 7000 ft above sea level, the spot that offers you panoramic views. Continue to trek Htut Ni, then back to Pindaya.

Day 08 Bagan

Day 09 Bagan / Min-dat
Early morning Bagan / Kyun Chaung by private boat across the Ayeyarwaddy river. Jeep (or) Pick-up car will be waiting for your at Kyun Chaung and drive to Min-dat (8hrs), (4860ft) through bumpy road, sandy streams, sandy road & mountainous roads.
Overnight at Min-dat Military Guesthouse or monastery.
(Can ask for hot water for shower to the guard)

Day 10 Min-dat
The trek guide will take you to ethnic groups of Chin; the Moon people and their culture. Visit to the villages of tattoo faced women. The villages are about 3miles away from Min-dat.
Overnight at the Guesthouse.

Day 11 Min-dat
Drive to by car from Min-dat down the valley to the famous Chi-Chaung (Chi-creek). Drive up along the path to Mt. Victoria, stop at Yet-Tha, Ma-she-yaw villages on the way & walk to Aye village. Visit to hill tribe villages. Return to Mindat.
Overnight at Guesthouse.

Day 12 Min-dat/ Pakkoku
Return from Mindat to Pakkoku by car (9hrs).
Overnight at Guesthouse.

Day 13 Pakkoku / Bagan
Visit Pakkoku market, Papier-mache, famous Shwegu Ta-Ke (wood carving). Take Z-craft back to Let-pan-chi-paw and drive to Bagan. Transfer to hotel & overnight at hotel.

Day 14 Bagan / Yangon
Morning free on your own. Transfer to airport. Bagan / Yangon by flight.

Day 15 Yangon

Day 04 Hpa-An / Mawlamyine

Day 06 Sittwe / Mrauk-U
Sittwe / Mrauk-U by boat (6hrs) along the Kaladan River. Mrauk-U was the capital of Rakhine Kings and once highly cultured city and lots of trading with Portuguese. Afternoon visit to Htukkant Thein, the Buddhist ordination hall; Shitthaung Temple, the most well-known and massive temple of 80thousand Buddha images; Anndaw Thein, Laymyetnha pagoda, Pitakataik and Laungbanpyauk pagoda. Day 07 Mrauk-U
Drive to Vesali by jeep, an ancient capital of (3 - 8) century and visit to the Vesali Payagyi (large sand-stone image), Phaya Paw and LowkaManaung Pagoda. Then visit to Thet race and Myo race village, SakyaManaung Pagoda with the giant in kneeling posture, Bandoola monastery (Sanda Muni), Archaeological museum, excavation sites at the palace, LetSay lake (city gate) and JinaManaung Pagoda. Day 08 Mrauk-U / Sittwe
Morning visit to the market and transfer to Jetty. Return to Sittwe by boat. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 09 Sittwe / Taunggok / Ngapali
Sittwe / Taunggok by Malikha boat (06:30 - 14:30) hrs on the Bay of Bengal. You can see nature beauty of the Bay of Bengal and ways of life in fisherman. Continue to Ngapali (Sandoway) by car. Transfer to hotel.

Guests need to bring tent & sleeping bags with them. They can also accommodate at village head house during the trek. If guests have to stay longer than 14days in Patao, because of any circumstances such as flight delay, flight cancel due to weather, etc, all expenses occurred during their stay is to be borne by clients. The best time is March & April.

3Days / 2Nights Trekking

Day 1
After breakfast, transfer from hotel to meeting point by private coach. S\
art for trekking about 1hr 30m walks to Lu Pin Village where Danu tribes reside. Continue about 30m to Shar Pin village. 25m proceed to Pann Lone pagoda hill for lunch with picnic box. After lunch, proceed to Pao villages. Walk again 45m to Pann Lone Village and another 45m to Linn Pan Village. Then to Taung Kwe Village minimum 30m trek and 35m again to Nant Thale village. Traditional dinner & overnight at Nant Thale Monastery.

Day 2
Breakfast at the Nant Thale Monastery. After breakfast, continue 2nd day trekking to Pao mountainous. Trek to Baw Nin Gone village for 45m and then 45m more for Htun Gone village. Lunch at village. After lunch, proceed to Kan Hla Gone village about 1hr, Pe Tu Pauk village for 2hr and after 30m, you will be at the Htee Taing village. Dinner & Overnight at Htee Taing Monastery.

Day 3
Breakfast at the Htee Taing Monastery. After breakfast, continue for 3rd & last day trekking to Inle Lake pass through Pao villages. Trek to Kyauk Su village about 30m and another 1hr for Ngoak village. On the way to Ngoak village you can taste the panoramic view of Inn Lake. Then 1hr walk down for Taung Che Village where Inn Thar reside. 45m later, you will be in Than Taung village, your enthusiastic destination. Farewell lunch at Thann Taung Monastery. Walk along the village about 30m to Thann Taung Jetty for Khaung Daing or Nyaung Shwe by boat about 45m.

Excursion Trip

Mount Victoria
(Bagan – KPL – Mt. Victoria – KPL – Bagan)
(3 Days/2 Nights)

Day 1: Bagan-Kanpetlet
Chin State, a spectacular mountainous area of western Myanmar, has only recently opened up to foreign visitors. Begin the adventure by local boat from Bagan and continue by open top jeep to Kanpetlet via Pauk, Kyauk Tu and Saw. Make stops for lunch and a visit to a tobacco factory. The feeling dense scenery with rice fields and traditional villages. Arrive at Kanpetlet in the late afternoon and explore this Chin village where many of the women still tattoo their faces. Continue another 8km to the forest guesthouse for dinner prepared by the forest rangers. Overnight at the forest guesthouse in basic accommodation with shared facilities.

Day 2: Kanpetlet-Nat Ma Taung National Park-Mount Victoria-Kanpetlet
Starting from Kanpetlet, different excursions to Nat Ma Taung National Park can be made easily. This beautiful park covers a large area with dense jungle, pine trees at higher levels and oak trees at the second base camp. The national park is an area of great bio-diversity with many rare forms of flora and fauna. Mount Victoria, the highest peak in the park, offers superb views of the surrounding area from the top. The second base camp can be reached by jeep and from here it is only a two and a half hour trek to the summit. A simple lunch is served at the second base-camp on Mount Victoria. Return to the forest guesthouse in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the forest guesthouse.

Day 3: Kanpetlet-Bagan
Leave Kanpetlet by jeep and head back to Bagan taking a different route but again with breath taking views, and dense jungle scenery. Stop for breakfast in a local teashop in Saw after one hours driving. Continue by jeep passing through the beautiful constantly changing landscape. Lunch is on the way in a local restaurant. Arrive back in Bagan in the late afternoon and transfer to hotel.

Mrauk U

Day 1: Yangon - Sittwe-Mrauk U
Upon arrival in Sittwe, transfer to the jetty for a chartered boat trip on the Kaladan River to Mrauk U, about 5 hours upstream. Overnight in Mrauk U.

Day 2: Mrauk U
After breakfast at the hotel visit Myanmar's legendary lost city of Mrauk U. Back in its 15th century heyday Mrauk U was one of the richest cities in all of Asia but today the town is more like a sleepy village. A morning tour of Mrauk U's sights includes Koethaing Temple, the Pitakataik Library, Laungbanpyauk Pagoda, Yadana Mannaung and Sakaya Mannaung Pagodas. After lunch, visit Shitthaung Temple, Mrauk U's most important monument, built in 1535 by 1,000 architects and containing a remarkable collection of Arakanese Buddha images and relief’s. Continue to the multi-spired Andaw Thein Ordination Hall, with its unique stone carvings, the circular Ratanabon Pagoda, Dukkhanthein, a huge fortress-like temple with vaulted passages containing interesting stone sculptures and Laymyetnha, the first pagoda erected in Mrauk U in 1430. Overnight in Mrauk U.

Day 3: Mrauk U-Sittwe
Enjoy sunrise over the misty hills of Mrauk U from the top of the hill. After breakfast continue sightseeing in Mrauk U with a visit to the market, the ruins of the Royal Palace and the Archaeological Museum. Proceed to the jetty and board a chartered boat back to Sittwe. On arrival enjoy sunset over the Bengal Bay from View Point Beach. Overnight in Sittwe.

Day 4: Sittwe-Yangon
A morning city tour of Sittwe, the capital of Rakhine State, featuring the colourful fish market and the Cultural Museum before the transfer to Sittwe Airport.

The Golden Triangle
(5 Days/4 Nights)

Day 1: Arrive Keng Tung
Arrive in Keng Tung, Myanmar's gateway to the Golden Triangle. Transfer to hotel. Visit Lane Tree Hill for panoramic views over Keng Tung. The town is a treasure trove of traditional architecture with old style houses and their intricately designed wooden balconies so characteristic of Shan architecture. After visiting a local Shan lacquer ware factory, visit Maha Myat Muni Pagoda, the holiest in Keng Tung. Overnight in Keng Tung.

Day 2: Keng Tung
After breakfast at the hotel. Full day excursion to explore the many and still very traditional ethnic minority communities of the Golden Triangle area. A 45-minute drive from Keng Tung is Wam Pauk, the home of the red-clothed Palaung tribe. An easy trek of 15 minutes leads to Hwe Lon, a village of the Akha people. Continue walking to Koum Ma, a Wa tribe village. Stop for lunch at Pin Tauk Waterfall near a Lahu village. In the afternoon meet with the elusive Ann minority. Return to Keng Tung. Overnight in Keng Tung.

Day 3: Keng Tung
Leave the hotel after breakfast for a walk around Keng Tung Market, the meeting point for many hill tribe people. Continue to Yan-Gone village and visit a traditional pottery workshop. Continue to Bo Lang a village of the Ann minority and Wan Sai, an Akha community. Afternoon sightseeing takes in Naung Tong Lake for scenic views. Overnight in Keng Tung.

Day 4: Keng Tung
Leave the hotel after breakfast to visit the Mong Kwan area by 4-wheel drive pick-up truck. Stop at the hill top Hwe Kwai village belonging to the Loi tribe. Observe the daily life of colourfully dressed Li Shaw people and the unique Wan Kwan mud houses. After a picnic lunch watch a traditional Lan Woan dance performance in Loi Lone village with beautiful Khun girls, in full traditional costume. Return to Keng Tung. Overnight in Keng Tung.

Day 5: Depart Keng Tung
Leaving after breakfast, take a morning stroll through Keng Tung Market, an ethnic shopping experience. Visit the ancient Kaba Aye Pagoda and the Myanmar style Sasana Beikman Building. In the afternoon transfer to Keng Tung Airport for departure.
