Day 1 (Yangon)
Meet on arrival at Yangon airport. Transfer to hotel. Morning tour
includes Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda, a huge reclining Buddha image followed
by a photo stop at Karaweik Hall, a royal floating barge; National
Museum to see the 8 meters high Golden lion throne & Mandalay
Royal regalia. Lunch. Afternoon tour includes Bogyoke market with
hundreds of stores; the old colonial style city center with Sule Pagoda,
dating back over 2000 years. Shwedagon pagoda, one of the world's
most spectacular religious monuments. Dinner. Overnight in Yangon.
Day
2 (Yangon-Heho-Pindaya)
Transfer to Yangon airport for Heho flight. Arrive Heho and drive
to Pindaya (60km). Lunch on the way enjoy the scenic beauty of the
Shan States. Arrive Pindaya cave, unique for the thousands of the
Buddha Images place there by pilgrims over many centuries. Dinner.
Overnight in Pindaya.
Day
3 (Pindaya-Inle Lake)
Drive to Nyaung Shwe (90km). An excursion by boat on Inle Lake will
include sights of the famous leg rowers, typical floating gardens,
local methods of fishing and village life. Lunch. Further visit
to Phaung Daw 00, the weaving village of Inpawkhon and other sights.
Visit Inn Thein Pagoda complex and surroundings. Lunch. Afternoon
tour includes the traditional cheroot making industry, silver smith,
weaving industry and Jumping Cat monastery (100 years old). Dinner.
Overnight in hotel.
Day
4 (Inle -NS -Taunggyi -Kakku –Taunggyi)
After breakfast check out hotel. Drive to NS -SN -Taunggyi -Kakku
-Taunggyi. Kakku is an hour & a half drive from State Capital,
Taunggyi which is 24 miles from Heho airport or 23 miles from the
north tern shore of Inle. There is a cluster of ancient pagodas.
You should visit there. In the afternoon you must come back to Taunggyi.
Check in hotel. Taunggyi is cool & pleasant all the year round.
The market on every fifth day is crowded with ethnic minorities
in their traditional dresses. Overnight at hotel.
Day
5 (Taunggyi -Heho-Yangon)
Transfer to Heho airport for Yangon flight. Arrive Yangon Morning
visit to Kaba Aye Pagoda (World Peace); Mahapasana Guha Cave, where
sixth Buddhist Synod took place. Continue to Meilamu Pagoda, where
the life like Buddha Images can be seen, Tooth Replica Pagoda, a
replica tooth presented by the Chinese. Lunch. Afternoon visit to
Botataung Pagoda, where a Buddha's hair enshrine in the temple,
visit China Town & Indian Town to see their living way. Dinner.
Overnight in Yangon.
Day
6 (Yangon)
Breakfast. Transfer to Yangon International airport for departure
flight.
