Two & half hours drive from Yangon. Located between Bago, Waw & Daik Oo townships. Especially, during October to February for migrating birds, many species of butterfly. It was declared the Wetland as a Bird Sanctuary in 1988 with a view to conserve. 40 acres wide wetland was created by the British Colonial administration in the late 1870s by damming up 3 snall local streams. Become a habitat for both the resident & migratory birds & an excellent bird watching sites.
